Memo atchay! Hello Araba Mary and Acua Linda! SO glad to hear from you and that all's well with you. I knew the people would be beautiful and that you would love everything about everything. I hope it all continues to be wonderful for you both. I hope the trip went smoothly and you will stay well. We miss you here in Tucson, and we wish we could be there experiencing Ghana and getting to know your new beautiful students with you.Take a lot of photos and if possible post them here. I'll keep checking this blog often so keep posting things as you are able. Take care! Love, Mari
Our welcome has been incredible. The Ghanaian people are friendly and very happy to help you with everything. The children are completely adorable and very touchy feely. We begin to teach on Tuesday and are very eager to work with the little ones. Our village is on a gorgeous beach and our classroom is an open air grass covered ramada. The challenges will be many and the rewards great.
We have settled into a village house which does have electricity and running water. Joy!! Today we are in Cape Coast to send off quick emails and to buy some supplies. I will write much more at a later date.
Hi Ms.Kierzek, It's me Kaylea from Walker.I hope you are having fun in Ghana. We all miss you, but you are teaching kids in Ghana which is awesome. Sometime, would you come down to Walker to visit? Do you have good kids or behavior problems? Ok well that's all. Thank you for reading this note. Kaylea
We are two teachers from Tucson on an adventure to learn about Ghana, to share our teaching skills in the classroom with some of the children of Ghana, and to bring home a new understanding of this lovely, colorful land and its people.
